Sandile Ndlovu has revealed how much he earned at Mamelodi Sundowns when he first joined the club.
In the beginning of his professional career, Ndlovu joined Sundowns in 2003 from KwaZulu-Natal amateur side Sobantu Shooting Stars.
AK47, as the former striker is known in football circles, was on the books of the Brazilians until 2007, although he had been loaned out on two different occasions during his spell.
"It was R10 000 when I started at Sundowns. I had just arrived at the club and it was a lot of money for me at time. I was coming from earning R150 per game at Sobantu. At Sobantu I was getting paid R150 per game and would get a R100 bonus for a goal when I scored," said Ndlovu.
"So, you can imagine from R150 to R10 000, that was a lot of money. I know of a lot of players from big clubs in the PSL who were getting paid R5 000 a month at the time, so I was fortunate for getting paid R10 000 coming from an amateur club," he told the Siya crew.
