How the Motaung siblings Jessica (Marketing Director), Bobby (Football Manager), Kaizer Jnr (Sporting Director) and Kemiso (Head of Digital) make it work in running one of Africa's biggest teams, has for years been a mystery.
Motaung Sr, the leader of the pack, has showed tremendous faith in his offspring by placing them within leadership positions within the club, to ensure the growth of Amakhosi both as a brand, and as a football club.
While they have fared with relative success, the second eldest of the Motaung siblings Jessica, has opened up on some of the challenges posed by working with her family members.
"Look, it's not easy and there are times it doesn't work, we have to be honest," Motaung told One Magic's Mzansi Icons.
"It's very difficult to maintain the boundaries also. The frustration is, 'when am I talking to my dad and when am I talking to my boss?'" she said.
However, Motaung, who was appointed to the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) Organizing Committee for Women Football Standing Committee from 2022 to 2024, says that the siblings have tried to maintain professionalism despite personal issues that may creep in.
"But at the same time, we are living life. We're real, we're working with each other and some of the personal stuff does creep into the work environment and it's about maintaining professionalism and it's a journey," she added.
