A former Kaizer Chiefs defender has given his opinion on what Amakhosi need to work on the most in 2025 to improve on their performances on the pitch.
It's been a disastrous 2024 for the Soweto giants, winning just six matches in the calendar year. They finished 10th at the end of last season in May earlier this year and are not in the top eight as they go into their final match of 2024 against Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium this Sunday.

With the arrival of Nasreddine Nabi as new coach before the start of the season, there was hope amongst the supporters that things would change, but they've endured the same pain of the last nine years, since their last league triumph. The biggest nightmare has been their defence, which has not kept a clean sheet in the Betway Premiership this season.
Former Amakhosi defender Mokete Tsotetsi feels that this is the biggest area of concern for the club and they need to fix this to endure less pain in 2025.
"Going into 2025, I think they need to look at fixing things at the back, from the combination and understanding at the back. That's their biggest challenge since the season started. Going forward, they are marvelous, so it's about working on the understanding at the back so that they can solidify things and compliment the attack. That's the biggest thing they can look at," Tsotetsi said to the Siya crew.
The goalkeeping department forms part of the problem at Naturena. The club has been struggling to find a reliable number one for some years now and it appears the search is still on with Fiacre Ntwari stuttering in his first few months at Naturena.

"Remember, the goalkeeper compliments the defence and the defence compliments the goalkeeper. So, I think they still need to find that number one. I still believe (Bruce) Bvuma can still be the number one at the club. We've seen his performances and, if given a chance, he can be the number one and he can compliment the defence."
