The Siya crew has been led to believe that the door is still open for defender Rushine de Reuck to have a longer stay at Mamelodi Sundowns, following the arrival of head coach Miguel Cardoso.
Having struggled with injury and game time, De Reuck has played back-to-back matches in the absence of injured duo Grant Kekana and Mothobi Mvala. In both matches, against Stellenbosch FC and AmaZulu, Sundowns kept a clean sheet and De Reuck played a key role, as he slowly works on getting back to his best form.

The Siya crew recently reported that Tshwane giants SuperSport United were looking at the possibility of bringing in the former Maritzburg United defender, as it looked like they would not renew his deal when it expires at the end of the campaign. But things could slowly be changing with his recent performances for the club.
Sundowns coach Cardoso is believed to have been impressed by the defender since he took over from Manqoba Mngqithi and the Portuguese mentor is going to have a big say in whether or not the 28-year-old stays at Chloorkop beyond June 2025.
In the two matches, De Reuck has played alongside Malibongwe Khoza and they appear to have a good understanding. It remains to be seen if the coach will make changes once Kekana and Mvala, two Bafana Bafana defenders, are available for selection.
