Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Lucky Mzizi, is appealing for patience about the club's head coach Gavin Hunt after the team struggled for consistent results so far in the 2020/21 season.
In Hunt's first season with the Soweto giants, Amakhosi have had a stuttering start to the campaign after winning only one from eight matches played going into the December break.
Chiefs are 13th on the DStv Premiership table and have already lost three matches and drawn four.
Mzizi is confident that Amakhosi are in capable hands under Hunt and that the former Bidvest Wits mentor will turn things around for the team.
"To Kaizer Chiefs fans, I am appealing that they can be patient towards coach Gavin because he is a good coach, and everything will be alright. Chiefs is a big team and sometimes big teams go through phases like this one they are in right now. Things like this don't happen to Chiefs only but to big teams throughout the world," said Mzizi.
"I still believe that Gavin can make it and bring glory to Chiefs. They shouldn't rush him. Just give him a chance because Chiefs is a big team. I so wish that he (Hunt) shouldn't be stressed out and must keep his cool and everything will fall into place," the 36-year-old added.
