David Mathebula knows the expectation of being part of an institution the magnitude of Kaizer Chiefs, having served the club for over seven years as a player. Now that he is back at the club in a coaching capacity, 'DVD' has revealed the expectations that come with working at Naturena.
In just two years within the Chiefs development structures, the 41-year-old has already shown what he is capable of.
Mathebula has led the Chiefs u18 team to two Engen Knockout Challenge trophies in three years and similarly, the Engen Champ of Champ tournaments, amongst a number of accolades.
As he looks to reclaim his side's status as the best youth team in the country, Mathebula has opened up on the weight of expectations he faces as a coach compared to what he experienced as a player.
"There is no hiding place," he told the Siya crew at the Engen Champ of Champs draw at Sturrock Park.
