Modise Opens Up On Exciting Milan Experience With PUMA

PUMA ambassador Teko Modise recently shared his thoughts on his exciting trip to Milan, where he got to step out of his comfort zone and mingle with some of the biggest stars in world football.

The 41-year-old was in attendance with the likes of Theo Hernandez and Christian Pulisic at the PUMA Ultra event.

A combination of go-karting and football was the order of the day for 'The General' who displayed his skills for spectators.

"It's been great since being in Milan. I think PUMA have organized a very successful event. We met a lot of fantastic people from around the world and I also got to embrace the tool that I grew up using – soccer boots," he told the Siya crew.

"There's a lot of science behind it. We were also able to compete by playing small-sided five- a- side games in the heat – but nonetheless, the event itself was very nice.

Asked if he would score more goals in modern times using the technology featured in the PUMA Ultra 5 boots, Modise says he would be able to produce more magic, although his goal output would remain the same.

"It would be unfair to judge because I played in different positions. You know in the modern day, you don't have a traditional number six. So, playing as a 10, you always had the freedom to go forward because there was someone behind you but there was also someone following you wherever you went, so it would be difficult for me to score as many goals as I should.

"Although now teams have done away with the traditional six, so I think I would still have the same number of goals – between 8 and 10 per season. Because I enjoy being creative more than I do scoring goals," he concluded.
