After their defeat to Chippa United over the weekend, it appears Kaizer Chiefs are heading for another disappointing finish to a season, with little to almost nothing to look forward to.
Cavin Johnson's men slumped to a 2-0 defeat to the Chilli Boys on Saturday afternoon, making it two defeats in a row after they were beaten 1-0 by Stellenbosch FC at FNB Stadium a few days earlier.

The defeat was their third in the DSTV Premiership in 2024 and it was the third consecutive match that the Soweto giants were unable to find the back of the net.
In seven league matches played in 2024, Amakhosi have registered just one win, losing three and drawing three.
Upfront, Amakhosi have been poor. They have scored just three goals in seven matches. Three of these goals have come in two matches, in a 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows and a 3-2 defeat to Orlando Pirates, meaning they have failed to score in a total of five matches this year.
Chiefs, in 2024, have conceded more goals than they have scored. They have conceded six times in seven matches.

With seven matches left in the campaign, Amakhosi can mathematically still finish in one of the two CAF spots on offer in the Premiership. But their form at the moment does not suggest that they will have a good finish to the campaign, with the team struggling to find any sort of rhythm.
Their next clash will be against relegation-threatened Richards Bay away from home on April 20.
