The story
Buccaneers legend and former captain, Happy Jele was accompanied by the club's current central defender, Thabiso Sesane in undergoing a trendy wellness procedure.
Sesane, who is set to be sidelined for up to four to six months due to ruptured tendon injury, joined his mentor Jele at the Skin Esteem clinic to receive an IV (Intravenous Vitamin) Drip.
Jele is a brand ambassador for the medical aesthetics company, Skin Esteem, who posted a reel of the two ballers visiting their Johannesburg-based clinic to receive their drips.
As per, IV Boost UK, they've explained the procedure by writing, "An IV Drip is a type of intravenous treatment that is slowly infused into the bloodstream via a plastic catheter (thin, flexible tube) inserted into the vein."
According to IOL, IV therapy is not a "cure-all," and that its benefits can vary from person to person. "For those dealing with chronic fatigue, stress, or recovery from addiction, it may offer noticeable improvements. Athletes and fitness enthusiasts, too, report enhanced performance and quicker recovery times."
Mzansi-based, The IV Bar mention health and wellness benefits such as reducing stress, detox, relieve migraines, improving sports performance, weight loss, muscle recovery and improvement of skin and hair appearance.
Clinics like the IV Bar have a selection of customised IV infusions with a range of vitamin therapy options on offer that can help boost energy levels to one's overall well-being.
