Mbule’s Post Sparks Speculation After Sundowns’ Cup Exit

The story

After Masandawana's dramatic 2-1 loss to Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup semi-final, Sipho Mbule shared a vague but eyebrow-raising post on Instagram.

The skilful central midfielder has been on a season-long loan at Sekhukhune United since September, to ensure himself more gametime. 

When available, Mbule has provided plenty of spark in Babina Noko's midfield and in the 16 appearances he's made in all competitions, the 27-year-old has four goal contributions to his name and a couple of Man of the Match awards.

On his IG story posted on Sunday evening, Mbule shared a post featuring a host of laughing emojis on a black background. 

On Twitter/X, fans were quick to speculate on whether Mbule was reacting to Sundowns' narrow loss to the Soweto giants, denying them the opportunity to exact revenge on last year's winners, Orlando Pirates.
