The story
PUMA has secured a long-term partnership with the FPF, one of the globe's most successful national teams. Beginning in 2025, PUMA will provide kits for all male, female, and youth teams, as well as the federation's futsal, beach football, and eSports squads.
Portugal, winners of the men's 2016 UEFA European Championship and the 2018/19 Nations League, are famed for their dynamic style of play, which has garnered them a massive global following.
They also boast the highest number of social media followers among all national football federations. "Signing a top-tier national team was a key goal for us, and I'm thrilled to welcome a globally popular team like Portugal to the PUMA Family," said Arne Freundt, CEO of PUMA.
"With their large fanbase and the immense potential of the next generation of players, we are excited for upcoming major tournaments, including the 2026 World Cup."

This partnership provides PUMA with a unique opportunity to continue its legacy in Portuguese football. Back in the 1960s, PUMA partnered with the legendary Eusébio, known as "O Rei" (The King), to create the iconic PUMA KING football boot.
Eusébio, the top scorer of the 1966 World Cup, played a key role in securing Portugal's third-place finish in the tournament.
"We were drawn to PUMA because of their ability to engage with fans and tell the unique stories of the teams they work with," said Fernando Gomes, President of the FPF.
"We look forward to collaborating with them on an exciting product range that will resonate with our vast global fanbase."
PUMA will reveal its new product line and creative direction for the partnership in early 2025.
