The story
Marshall Munetsi is off to a strong start in England, securing regular playing time with Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 28-year-old former Orlando Pirates baller has featured in nine matches across all competitions since his January move from Stade Reims in France.
Although Munetsi is typically known for his role as a central midfielder, Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has used him as a forward, and his versatility has proven to be a key asset.
Munetsi has already contributed with one goal and one assist, helping the team maintain their position in the Premier League for next season.
Speaking on Marawa Sports Worldwide (MSW) on Tuesday about his dream move to the Premier League, Munetsi mentioned that despite not being at a stage where he's 'pinching himself' on the progress he's made in his career since leaving Pirates almost seven years ago, he’s fulfilling a childhood dream by plying his trade in what's widely regarded as the best league in the world.
When asked by Robert Marawa if the Premier League has always been his main target, Munetsi answered, "Yes. Since I was a kid. This is something that I've always worked hard towards. As a young boy, I always wanted to play at the highest level.”
"Getting here eventually and playing among the best players, and to be representing a club like Wolverhampton, it's something I've been putting my heart and soul into. So, I'm really happy to be here right now," shared Munetsi on MSW.
