The story
Sekhukhune United captain, Linda Mntambo is ready to make a splash in the commercial fashion world after announcing a brand deal with Steve Madden South Africa.
The New York-founded Steve Madden brand became famous for their luxury women's footwear and handbags in the 1990s and early 2000s, has been making waves in the South African fashion scene in the last couple of years.
Since last year, Steve Madden SA has roped in the likes of Amapiano/House DJ and producer, Oscar Mbo as well as presenter, businesswoman and influencer, Bonang Matheba.
Linda Mntambo will be the latest big name to join the Steve Madden family, with the ex-Orlando Pirates man revealing that he's "Cooking something nice" with the American fashion brand.
It's not clear whether "Figo" will be working on a collection with Steve Madden or simply fronting a new campaign, either way, it's promises to be an exciting partnership.
