The story
'Magents' received what many would regard as a hero's welcome at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday during Pirates goalless CAF Champions League draw with defending champions, Al Ahly.
Jele, who captained the Buccaneers over a decade ago when facing the Egyptian giants at the same venue, was beautifully embraced by the fans from his seat in the Vodacom suite.
Not only did Magents soak in the love he received from the Happy People, he ended up joining the supporters in the grand stands to popular chants associated with the club.
Having spent the vast majority of his professional football career at Pirates, it comes as no surprise that Jele still has cult hero level status with the club's fans.
While the Orlando Stadium faithful may have been disappointed by the lack of goals and dropped points, Jele certainly managed to bring a smile to the devoted Bucs supporters.
