The story

Former Stellenbosch FC captain, Deano van Rooyen produced a Man of the Match display in a 2-0 win for Orlando Pirates, who maintain an unbeaten start in the Premiership.

It's was a fourth consecutive win for Bucs on Tuesday, a win that sees them bounce back from their shock Carling Knockout Cup exit at the hands of Magesi last Saturday.

Pirates and van Rooyen will look to replicate Tuesday's performance and make it five wins in a row when they host AmaZulu FC on Friday at the Orlando Stadium.

Although he only arrived in August in the recent transfer window, van Rooyen is already winning the hearts of the Buccaneers supporters, who chanted his name when the players greeted the Es'godini faithful after their win over Matsatsantsa.

Van Rooyen seemed to be overcome with emotion in front of the fans, with his eyes watering as he watched the Pirates fans showering him with love after a solid performance.
