The story
Earlier this week, adidas unveiled the new F50 boots designed for Inter Miami star and 2022 FIFA World Cup winner, Messi and 10 bright football prospects from around the world.
This boot features a fresh take on last year's F50 'Triunfo Estelar,' with design updates such as a 'Messi + 10' signature, paying tribute to the 10 rising stars who will also wear the new F50 and reigniting adidas' + 10 campaign from the mid-2000s.
The young players include FC Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal, River Plate's Claudio Echeverri, US Women's National Team star Jaedyn Shaw, RB Liepzig stars Assan Ouedraogo and Antonio Nusa, Nottingham Forest newbie Joel Ndala, Philadelphia Union teen sensation Cavan Sullivan, FC Barcelona Femeni's Vicky Lopez, Juventus' Kenan Yildiz, and Monaco's Eliesse Ben Seghir.
"Developing my latest boot with adidas has been another incredible experience and I can't wait to wear them on-pitch. I am also very grateful that all these young talents like the boots and want to wear them, and I'm excited to see how they perform," noted Messi on his new F50's.
The boots showcase the 'Messi' logo on the heel counter and come in a bold blue, silver, and neon yellow colorway. They incorporate the latest F50 technology.
Messi will debut the boots on Friday, 14 February and they're available for purchase on the adidas ZA website and select retailers.
adidas has been documenting Messi with the aforementioned 10 rising stars in a online series, where they reveal what they admire about the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner.
