The two Absa Premiership sides made it past Barrack Young Controllers and AS Tanda respectively in the last round of the competition, with Matsatsantsa securing a 6-1 aggregate victory and Dikwena needing penalties to progress.
Now, with both clubs looking to put on a performance on the continent after guaranteeing themselves at least $275,000 (R3.6m) in CAF prize money, they face a tough task ahead if they're going to make it into the last eight.
SuperSport United and Platinum Stars now know who stands between them and a spot in the knockout stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Read:
SuperSport were drawn against Horoya AC, CF Mounana and TP Mazembe in group D at today's draw in Cairo, meaning trips to Guinea, Gabon and the Democratic Republic of Congo over the next few months, while Stars are off to Algeria, Swaziland and Tunisia to face MC Alger, Mbabane Swallows and CS Sfaxien.
This is the first time that CAF have had four groups in this stage of the tournament after a reshuffling of the format and Mamelodi Sundowns are also in the last 16 of the CAF Champions League as they look to defend the title that they won last year.
