Like SuperSport, "Yeye" has won every trophy available on the local front, but has never won silverware in continental competition, and has said that he will be taking today's game against Al Ahly Shendi very seriously as a result of this.
"It's a very big thing for me, as a player, and for the team to do well in Africa and that's why we're taking it seriously," he told Soccer Laduma. "But we also want to be remembered as the generation of players that have done well in the competition (CAF Confederations Cup)."
The 34-year-old went on to describe how Stuart Baxter's men will have to adapt their style of play when taking on their Sudanese opponents today.
"In every game that we play, we have to adapt to the teams that we play against," he added. "We have to change the way we approach our performance and the style that we play. We'll play against a team that will be very different to the last team we played. They will have a different defence, a different way that they play the ball and just a different way that they play in general."
Today's match gets underway at 18:00 in the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
