Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane, believes that his team still has something to gain as they prepare to take part in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Sundowns, Wits, Pirates Lead Q4 Chase
The former Bafana Bafana coach admitted that his team feel disappointed by failing to make it into the CAF Champions League and getting eliminated from the Nedbank Cup, but that it's not the end of the world that they won't get their hands on all of the trophies available to them this season.
"We thought we could win everything this season," he told the Siya crew. "But after losing the CAF Champions League and the Nedbank Cup we have seen that we don't have a team to win everything."
Mosimane went on to emphasise the importance of the opportunity to learn in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup.
"Now we are in the Confederation Cup and we going to fight and reach the group stages and learn how things are done there with the team we have. We want to learn in the Confederation Cup and take one step at a time," Mosimane concluded.
Sundowns were in the running to win four trophies this season, having won the Telkom Knockout and occupying top spot in the PSL standings before they were eliminated by AS Vita in the CAF Champions League and Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup.

Now Mosimane will have to turn his attention to the league, with only four points separating his team and second-placed Bidvest Wits, and fixtures to be played against Kaizer Chiefs as well as Gavin Hunt's team, which could prove to be stumbling blocks in their hunt for more silverware as the title race comes down to the wire.
