Orlando Pirates Nominated For CAF Award

Orlando Pirates have been nominated for the Club of the Year for the 2015 Glo-CAF awards, following their impressive Confederation Cup run of this year.

The Buccaneers lost in the final of the continental competition against Etoile Sportive du Sahel of Tunisia. 

Following the disappointment of losing in the final, Pirates fans will be hoping that their team could be named the Club of the Year.

Bucs have been nominated in the Club of the Year category alongside USM Algers (Algeria), TP Mazembe (DR Congo) and Etoile Sportive du Sahel (Tunisia).

In other good news for South African football, Banyana Banyana have been nominated in the Women National Team of the Year category. Vera Pauw's side have qualified for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.

Banyana have been nominated for the Women National Team of the Year accolade alongside with Ghana, Cameroon and Zimbabwe.

Women Player of the Year

Gabrielle Onguéné, Cameroon, Gaelle Enganamouit, Cameroon, Ngozi Ebere, Nigeria, N'rehy Tia Ines, Cote d'Ivoire and Portia Boakye, Ghana

Youth Player of the Year  

Adama Traore, Mali, Kelechi Nwakali, Nigeria, Samuel Diarra, Mali, Victor Osimhen, Nigeria and Yaw Yeboah, Ghana

Most Promising Talent       

Azubuike Okechukwu, Nigeria, Etebo Oghenekaro, Nigeria, Djigui Diarra, Mali, Mahmoud Abdelmonem 'kahraba', Egypt and Zinedine Ferhat, Algeria

Coach of the Year
