The 56-year-old came up against Etoile during his time in Tunisia coaching Club Africain from 2002 to 2003.
Ertugral expects a feisty reception from the home fans for Orlando Pirates when they meet Etoile in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final this evening.
However the former Chiefs mentor went on to indicate that the Etoile fans also have a penchant for turning on their own team which the Buccaneers supporters will be hoping is the case.
"You know that it can be tough for their players as well when things aren't going well for them. Those fans are really passionate and crazy. They can easily turn against their own team.
"Tunisia is a football-mad country and Etoile is loved by everyone there. Even supporters from Esperance and Club Africain will be rooting for Etoile when Orlando Pirates visit them.
"They are very, very difficult to beat at home as they become a completely different team. They are a very offensive side, attacking especially through their wingers, so Pirates need to be very much on their toes."
