The Ghana club had been scheduled to have been on their flight to South Africa from as early as Wednesday, according to the club's plans.
However, the trip was rescheduled for Thursday evening, following glitches encountered by the team with issues involving work permits.
Prior to the paperwork-related issues, reports emerging from Ghana stated that the team's coach Tom Strand went AWOL. It has been reported by various media houses in Ghana that the 33-year-old Swedish mentor has been doubtful for the trip to Mzansi for Saturday's game.
However, the reports have been refuted by the club. In a statement issued by the Ghana side on Thursday, the club's technical director Augustine Evans Adotey refuted the AWOL claims although he admitted about the management's concerns over his conduct.
"Medeama would like to deny widespread media reports claiming coach Tom Strand has gone AWOL. Strand is currently at his residence in Tarkwa and so reports that heis 'lost' must be disregarded.
"However, management is concerned about his attitude in recent weeks and will hold a crunch meeting with him today (Thursday) to take a definite decision.
"He has not trained the team since Monday and failed to show up for our deserved Premier League win over Inter Allies on Wednesday.
"The club top hierarchy is concerned about the growing situation involving our coach and will announce in due course the next line of action.
