The Buccaneers are now just two games away from securing South Africa's first ever CCC title, and will take on Etoile du Sahel on Saturday evening in the first leg of the huge tie.
It is Pirates' second continental final in the space of two years, and Masalesa believes that all of the travelling has made this side a stronger unit.
Speaking to the media, the 23-year-old said, "There's no Wi-Fi, we can't be on our phones or iPads, so we actually have to talk to each other. I think it's made us get closer to each other and understand each other better both on and off the field. We're united.
When asked whether the hostile atmosphere in the 2013 Champions League final has prepared them for whatever comes in Tunisia, 'Vieira' said, "I think so, we've learnt to deal with situations better. It was tough in the previous final, but now we expect the worse when we travel so what happens off the field doesn't have so much of an impact on us. "
Pirates host ESS on Saturday at Orlando Stadium before traveling to Sousse in Tunisia for the second leg a week later.
