Mamelodi Sundowns are one step away from making it into the CAF Confederation Cup group stages, and ahead of their second leg tie against Ghanaian side Medeama, we look at the team's key players who have been instrumental thus far.   The focus is based on appearances they have made in CAF competition this year, the minutes they have accumulated on the field of play as well as the goals scored.   Check out the seven players in the gallery above.   Tebogo Langerman:   Not only has Langerman been solid in restricting opponents from scoring against his side, he has also played in all the CAF games for the Brazilians this year (630 minutes) and has also scored a goal for Pitso Mosimane's charges in their 2-1 win over AS Vita.
Wayne Arendse:   Arendse's hard work in the heart of defence has not been praised enough and, he is the only other player at the back to have featured in all CAF matches. He also has 630 minutes under his belt and registered his name of the scoresheet in the 2-0 win over Chicken Inn.
Thabo Nthethe:   'Mr. Cool' has been instrumental in Downs' CAF journey so far, and has played 450 minutes for the side. The former Bloemfontein Celtic captain also scored a goal when they beat Vita, though they were eliminated from the Champions League on away goals.   Hlompho Kekana:   Of all the Sundowns players, 'Gonzalez' has been an all-rounder for Masandawana in CAF competition this year. He is yet to miss a single fixture for the team in continental competition and has played 627 minutes. Kekana scored the crucial goal in the 1-1 away draw against AC Leopards which saw them progress to the next stage after they claimed a 2-0 win in the first leg.   Keagan Dolly:    The dimunitive player has also played a major role for the side in continental competition and is yet to miss a CAF fixture for the PSL champions, having played 630 minutes. He has contributed one goal for Sundowns, when they beat Leopards 2-0.   Leonardo Castro:   The Colombian marksman has taken the PSL by storm since his arrival and has carried his exploits into CAF competition where he has racked up 520 minutes in seven CAF ties. His two goals came in the 2-0 win over DRC's Leopards and the recent 3-1 win over Medeama.   Khama Billiat:   The pacey attacking player has only missed two of his side's seven matches in CAF competition, but he has managed to get 442 minutes under his belt and scored two goals in the process. Sundowns have not lost a single match in which the Zimbabwean international has featured in CAF this season.
