'Magents' was at fault for the only goal of the second leg of the final that saw Etoile du Sahel win the game 1-0 and secure the cup 2-1 on aggregate.
The 28-year-old who was captain of the Buccaneers on the day, spoke to Soccer Laduma about the incident and what his side could have done differently.
"If we had won at home by a good scoreline, we could have just gone to Tunisia to finish off the job," Jele told Soccer Laduma.
"Winning at home was one of the lessons we didn't learn in Africa. It is always important as it puts you at an advantage in the away game.
"Of course it (the error that led to the goal) was hard on me. If they hadn't scored that goal, maybe the result would have been different.
"It was a team effort and we did everything together, but of course it felt very bad for me as a player and the captain."
