'Magents' was on the receiving end of some criticism in both legs of the final as he was implicated in both the goals scored by Etoile du Sahel, who ran out 2-1 winners on aggregate in Tunisia.
The 28-year-old, who had just returned from injury, took the place of Ntsikelelo Nyauza at right back, which many in the football fraternity thought was a mistake.
Jele has responded to the criticism he has had to deal with following Bucs' disappointing loss in the final.
"People will always talk. People will have their opinions. We are all sad that we lost and there is no need to be pointing fingers at this moment," Jele told Soccer Laduma.
"I can't say much on that (being chosen ahead of Nyauza). I know Nyauza is a great player but the coach knows why he played the players he chose to play.
"I was just happy I could contribute to the team like all the other players."
