The shot-stopper played for Equatorial Guinea in both the 2-0 loss against Morocco in Agadir last week, as well as his side's 1-0 win in the return leg in Bata on the weekend.
As a result, the 22-year-old missed some of Bucs' training sessions this week, as Eric Tinkler's side has been preparing for the CAF Confederation Cup final against the Tunisian outfit.
A source close to the Pirates camp has confirmed to the Siya crew that Ovono resumed with the team on Thursday.
"He (Ovono) trained with the team yesterday (Thursday). He arrived on Wednesday and returned to training with the team yesterday. So he has been part of the team's preparations for the weekend's game," said the source.
Bucs have also been boosted with the return of Brighton Mhlongo to fitness, following his long injury layoff.
