The Buccaneers, who have been boosted with the return of Brighton Mhlongo and Sifiso Myeni from injury, are in the final preparations of their CAF Confederation Cup final against Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia.
"Look, before I talk about Pirates and their chances I have to mention that I have never watched their opponents and I don't know how they play. Being in the final is a motivation for Pirates. They also want to make history.
"It must be disappointing for them that during their time there has never been a similar achievement like winning the star that Pirates has on the badge. They want to write their names in the history books. The game is very important for the boys. I'm fully behind them and I know that they will win," said Ngobe.
