Jeremy Brockie bagged a hat-trick to help SuperSport United claim a 5-0 win over Barrack Young Controllers and advance to the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
The sides came into the encounter on the back of a 1-1 draw in the first leg last weekend. SuperSport broke the deadlock as early as the third minute as Thabo Mnyamane turned home Tebogo Mokoena's low cross. The home side pushed for more goals as the half went on with Mokoena and Clayton Daniels going close to adding to the advantage. Stuart Baxter's charges eventually doubled their lead in the 32nd minute as Mnyamane turned provider to pick out Brockie, who tapped home from close range. The score remained 2-0 to the home as the sides entered the halftime break. SuperSport grabbed a third goal in the 53rd minute, as Brockie played a one-two with Mnyamane before slotting past the goalkeeper. Brockie completed his hat-trick in the 64th minute to get SuperSport's fourth goal on the day. Fagrie Lakay, who scored in the first leg, got his name on the score-sheet three minutes with a close range finish, 5-0.
