Ajax Cape Town recorded a 2-1 win over Angolan side Sagrada Esperanca in their CAF Confederation Cup first leg tie.
The Urban Warriors broke the deadlock after 14 minutes thanks to a goal from Ruzaigh Gamildien. His second goal in all competitions this season.
The home side then leveled matters four minutes later, after they were awarded a penalty, which Antonio Oliveira converted.
The teams entered the halftime break with the score level at 1-1.
The visitors' managed to restore their lead in the 53rd minute thanks to a strike from Riyaad Norodien. His second goal of the 2015/2016 season as well.
Roger De Sa opted to re-shuffle his pack after the hour-mark and introduced Erwin Isaacs and Mosa Lebusa for Gamildien and Milton Ncube respectively.
However, Ajax managed to hold out for the away win and will now host the Angolan side in Cape Town on 26 February.
