Platinum Stars have qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup group stages, after defeating AS Tanda 5-4 on penalties on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors nearly broke the deadlock in the 12th minute, but Stars goalkeeper Mzimela produced a good save to deny Kevin Koelly.
Dikwena were awarded a penalty after 28 minutes when Ndumiso Mabena was brought down. Benson Shilingo stepped up and converted the spot-kick.
Cavin Johnson opted for a change in the 37th minute as Siyabonga Zulu replaced Tintswalo Tshabalala. However, failed to add to their advantage in the remaining stages in the second half and went into the break leading by one goal. Dikwena pushed for another goal and went close in the 49th minute, with Zulu firing just wide of the mark. The home side pushed for a second goal and were eventually rewarded in the 78th minute courtesy of a strike from Robert Ng'ambi to make it 2-2 on aggregate. The score remained 2-0 at the end of 90 minutes, forcing the clash into a penalty shoot-out, where Dikwena triumphed 5-4.
