Speaking to Soccer Laduma in edition 962, Johnstone revealed that the Sturrock Park-based outfit are excited at the prospect of facing Azam, despite not knowing too much information about them.
"It is an exciting fixture for us. We know Azam are a very big club in Tanzania so we are looking forward to this game a lot.
"We have not done too much homework on them as yet and we will take a look at them later in the week," he said.
Wits progressed to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers with a 8-0 aggregate win over Light Stars FC.
"They are coached by an Englishman, so we expect them to play in that very direct style that Gavin Hunt sometimes plays too," Johnstone added.
Hunt's assistant went on to highlight their opponents' most recent fixture, as well as the conditions that the two teams will be playing under on Saturday.
"They played a top-of- the-table clash on the weekend and lost 3-2. We expect them to be physical but not quick. It is nice that we get them at home first because we are obviously more comfortable here.
We know the conditions and our pitch at the Bidvest Stadium is still one of the best in the country, " Johnstone told Soccer Laduma.
Wits play host to the Tanzanian outfit tonight at 6pm.
