The Urban Warriors confirmed last week that, regretfully, they would be withdrawing from this year's CCC amid concerns for their players safety after their unfruitful attempts to get clarity on travel plans for their away leg this weekend.
However, the Siya crew has now been led to believe that South Africa's governing body came to the party in helping discussions between Ajax and Segrada Esperanca of Angola, and that the games could now go ahead.
Ajax, alongside Bidvest Wits, will compete in this year's CCC, while Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns will represent Mzansi in the CAF Champions League starting this weekend.
The Cape Town-based outfit could announce their plans to remain in the CCC at some point today as they prepare to depart for Angola later this week.
