Mamelodi Sundowns are the only South African club left in the competition following Bidvest Wits' exit over the weekend, and it will be Pitso Mosimane's side that discovers the three teams that they will be pitted against for a spot in the quarter-finals.
It was explained today that the draw – which takes place in Cairo, Egypt – will be conducted at 17h00 UTC (19h00 SA time), with the CCL draw being following by the play-off round draw for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Bidvest Wits, who dropped into the CCC, will be joined by SuperSport United in the play-off round, with both clubs looking to try and secure themselves a spot in the group stages of Africa's second tier inter-club competition. They could potentially face each other in what would be a first for South Africa.
