After a lively opening, it was Desiree Ellis' charges who broke the deadlock after 26 minutes thanks to a strike from Linda Motlhalo, who dispossessed a defender before burying the ball home.

The Jamaicans came out firing in the second half and were rewarded with the equaliser on 59 minutes through Khadija Shaw's effort.
The hosts had a chance to restore their lead from the penalty spot 10 minutes later, but Leandra Smeda sent her spot-kick onto the crossbar.
Smeda had the ball in the back of the net in the latter stages of the half, but he strike was flagged offside as the encounter ended all square in Durban.
