Chiefs never spent a fortune in players
Kaizer Chiefs never signed players by breaking their bank account.Chiefs is a very big brand and well marketed for decades. So the wow players from back in the day prferred to sign for chiefs for exposure and playing for overseas teams. It came natural for many players to choose Kaizer Chiefs. Unfortunately Mr. Patrice Motsepe came in and changed the market. The PSL grant doesn't help the situation with 2 million monthly grant as lowly clubs can now compete in the market and players themselves choose deals that would sustain their livelihoods after football.So the free agents chiefs buys doesn't mean inferior quality. They happen not to fit in the Chiefs system of play or choke under the pressure that comes with playing for Kaizer Chiefs.Chiefs signed Khama Billiat for free. Tshepo Masilela for free and Castro as well just to mention but a few. So are this players of inferior quality? The answer is a very big no. Yes Kaizer Chiefs Performed dismally during current season but this is not all doom and gloom. They finished second last season and currently in CAF Champions League Semis which they likely to coup.As a parting shot, Kaizer chiefs has never bought players breaking their bank bakance!
