Aboubakar squandered a glorious chance to restore Cameroon's lead in the 65th minute, the striker completely missed a free-header from close range, after being picked out by Bedimo. Keita came close to giving Guinea the lead in the 75th minute but the midfielder fired over the crossbar from inside the area. Stephane Mbia should have sealed the three points in the 89th minute but the Cameroon captain managed to steer his header wide of the target from six-yards.
