2015 African Cup Of Nations
Group B
Teams: DR Congo v Tunisia
Date: 26 January 2015
Venue: Estadio de Bata
A win for DR Congo against Tunisia in their final 2015 African Cup of Nations, Group B game at Estadio de Bata on Tuesday will see them qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 20h00, which is the same kick-off time as the other Group B game between Cape Verde and Zambia.
Tunisia top the group with four points after a 1-1 draw against Cape Verde in their opening game and a 2-1 win over Zambia in their second game.
Dr Congo, on the other hand, are yet to register a win after drawing their first two games – a 1-1 draw against Zambia followed by a goalless draw against Cape Verde.
That string of results sees DR Congo placed third in the group with two points and needing a win to ensure qualification into the quarterfinals of the continental competition.
Tunisia only need a draw to ensure they progress into the knockout stages.
Cape Verde occupy second place in the group with two points while Zambia prop up the bottom of the standings with a point.
DR Congo and Tunisia have met in ten official matches since 1963. Of those games Tunisia have won five games, Dr Congo three times and two have ended in draws.
Their last outing against one another was ten years ago in Paris and ended in a 2-2 draw.
Here is how they line-up.
