2015 African Cup Of Nations

Group B

Teams: Cape Verde V Zambia

Date: 26 January 2015

Venue: Estadio De Ebebiyín

Nothing but a win will suffice for Zambia when they face Cape Verde in their final 2015 African Cup of Nations, Group B match at the Estadio De Ebebiyín on Monday if they are to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

The match is scheduled to get underway at 20h00, which is the same kick-off time as the other Group B game between DR Congo and Tunisia.

Zambia prop up the bottom of the group with one point after drawing their opening game against DR Congo and then losing their second game 2-1 to Tunisia.

Cape Verde, on the other hand, occupy second place in the group after two draws – 1-1 against Tunisia followed by a goalless draw against DR Congo.

Zambia need to win and hope that Dr Congo lose to Tunisia if they are to qualify for the quarterfinals while Cape Verde may only need a point, but a win would guarantee them spot beyond the group stages.

Cape Verde and Zambia have only met on two previous occasions and each country has won one match.

Their last outing was in November 2014 and saw Zambia run out 1-0 winners.

Here is how they line up.

Cape Verde: Dias, Varela, C. Tavares, I. Tavares, Barros, Monteiro, Rocha, Lima, Ramos, Rodrigues, Mendes

Zambia: Mweene, Sunzu, Nkausu, Munthali, Mtonga, Mbola, Kalaba, Lungu, Musonda, Singuluma, Kangwa.
