Real Madrid maintained their 100 percent win record in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League with a 4-0 win over Ludogorets Razgrad at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

The win is a sixth in a row for Madrid who top Group B with 18 points, 11 points clear of second placed Basel who drew 1-1 with Liverpool on the night.

Ludogorets finished fourth in the group with four points.

Real Madrid made their intentions clear from the get go and came close to opening the scoring in the ninth minute when Nacho headed a Toni Kroos cross inches wide.

Ten minutes later Ludogorets suffered a big set-back when they were reduced to ten men following a straight red card for Marcelinho after he handled the ball on the goalline.

Cristiano Ronaldo made no mistake from the resulting penalty to give his side the lead, 1-0.

Gareth Bale doubled his side's lead in the 37th minute when he rose highest to head home a Kroos corner-kick, 2-0.

The home side eased up at the start of the second half and Ludogorets offered very little in attack.

That resulted in a dull second 45 for the large part.

Alvaro Arbelo did come close to finding Real Madrid's third in the 73rd minute when he met a Marcelo cross, but saw his header crash off the woodwork.

Arebelo, though, did find his goal in the 80th minute when he turned the ball home from close range following a goalmouth scramble at a corner, 3-0.

The icing on the cake for Madrid was their fourth goal in the 87th minute when Alvaro Medran's deflected shot wrong-footed the keeper on its way into the net, 4-0.
