UEFA Champions League Group Stage Wrap - 20 October 2020

UEFA Champions League Group Stage Wrap - 20 October 2020

It was a frustrating evening for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as they were held to a goalless draw by Sevilla.

Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner lined up in the attack as Hakim Ziyech had to settle for a spot on the bench again.

However, the Blues were unable to find a way past the Europa League winners as both sides start with a point.

Cristian Ramirez rescued a point for Krasnodar after cancelling out Serhou Guirassy's opener for Rennes.

Rennes travel to Sevilla for their next encounter while Krasnodar host Chelsea on matchday two.

Lazio got their Group F journey off to a flying start after defeating Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in Rome.

The hosts raced into an early lead, with last season's European Golden Shoe winner Ciro Immobile opening the scoring after just six minutes.

The lead was doubled at the midway point of the first half as Luiz Felipe found the back of the net off Luis Alberto's cross.

Erling Haaland pulled a goal back for Dortmund in the 71st minute but Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro ended any hopes of comeback five minutes later.

RB Leipzig began Group H with a comfortable 2-0 win over Istanbul Basaksehir at the Red Bull Arena.

Angelino, who is on loan from Manchester City, bagged a brace on the night with goals in the 16th and 20th minute.
