He is two goals ahead of Messi, who has netted six goals in the 2018/19 UCL campaign so far. The top duo are followed by six players who scored five goals in this year's group stage.
FC Porto's Moussa Marega is the highest-scoring African in this year's edition, having netted five times so far. The others with five strikes to their name are Neymar, Hoffenheim's Andrej Kramaric, Roma's Edin Dzeko, Juventus' Paulo Dybala and Ajax Amsterdam's Dusan Tadic.
