Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho slammed his side's "ridiculous" mistakes after they went down 2-1 to Porto in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Mourinho Losing Patience With Chelsea Stars
Chelsea fell behind in the first half after Andre Andre had put Porto ahead, but the Blues replied with a wonderful free-kick from Willian just before the break.
In the second half, the Portuguese looked the better team and scored thanks to a near-post header from Maicon off a corner kick. Mourinho, understandably, was not happy with the way that goal was conceded.
"I think it was a good performance with two ridiculous mistakes. Sometimes you make them and are not punished. We were punished," he told reporters, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
"We watch dozens of repetitions of Porto taking corners. We were completely ready for that and in a moment when the game is under control, we concede a goal that is ridiculous.
"We had another mistake similar when they hit the post. Apart from that the performance was balanced. The players reacted in a positive way and tried to play in a positive way.
"It's a difficult opponent, a difficult place to play. Champions League brings a different emotion to matches.
"When you have good results and perform well, untouchables, there is a relation with consistency in performances.
"When you play a disaster, it's easy to make drastic decisions. When you play like today, it's more difficult."
Chelsea have now suffered five defeats this season and find themselves in third place in their Champions League group.
