Result: AC Milan 1-1 Juventus
Date: 13 February 2020
Venue: San Siro
Cristiano Ronaldo struck in the dying stages from the penalty spot to secure a 1-1 draw for Juventus in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final against AC Milan.
Both sides went with their strongest line-ups as Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadradi led the Juventus attack while Zlatan Ibrahimovic maintained his spot from the weekend's Milan derby.
After a relatively quiet opening, the first real opening fell to the home side after 22 minutes as Juventus shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon was forced into tipping Davide Calabria's powerful strike over the crossbar.
Gianluigi Donnarumma was called into action at the other end in the 36th minute after getting down to keep out Cuadrado's strike which looked destined for the bottom corner.
Despite's Juventus' dominance in the first half, they were only able to carve out one effort on target on the opening 45 minutes as Ronaldo and Dybala were kept quiet.
The visitors were made to pay for not turning their dominance into goals as Milan broke the deadlock on the hour mark thanks to Ante Rebic's impressive volley from Samu Castillejo's cross.
Milan were then dealt a blow 10 minutes later when defender Theo Hernandez received his marching orders for picking up a second yellow in the card in the encounter.
With the game seemingly headed for a Milan first-leg win, Juventus were awarded a penalty in the 90th minute for a handball from Calabria and Ronaldo stepped up to fire home the equaliser.
In the end, 1-1 was how the encounter ended as Juventus take a draw back to Turin while Milan will be without Ibrahimovic, who picked up a booking earlier in the game, and Hernandez.
