Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane had an interesting choice of words when discussing Eden Hazard's latest fitness issue after the Belgian reportedly returned to Los Blancos from holiday overweight.
Last season, the former Chelsea man began life in Spain carrying more kilograms than he perhaps would have liked, and admitted later in the 2019/20 season that he is someone who picks up weight easily.
Hazard then arrived for training ahead of the new campaign in similar condition, and was understood to have upset Zidane and his coaching staff as a result.
When addressing the player's fitness ahead of Real's LaLiga tie with Real Valladolid on Wednesday night, however, the Frenchman defended the club's record signing from critics, although he did say Hazard had a "big fat problem".
"I don't think he's unprofessional, he's just had a big fat problem which has been bothering him for a long time," he said, according to Sport.
"What we want is for him to not feel any discomfort again, so we need to wait. It's a long season and he wants to be back on the pitch with his teammates so he can play well and help us out.
"He's getting very close, he's training regularly with us and getting into shape and getting ready to come back."
Hazard scored just one goal in the 16 league matches he featured in during his debut season at Real.
