According to Spanish outlet Marca, the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners will wait until after their upcoming European final to decide their respective futures.
While rumours suggest it is likely Modric, 38, moves on at the end of the season, it was reported earlier this year that Kroos had reached an agreement to remain in Madrid until next year.
It has since been said the German midfielder, who recently came out of international retirement, could now also leave the club at the conclusion of the current campaign.
The publication claims the LALIGA champions do not want any distractions ahead of their 18th Champions League final and will resume discussions with Modric and Kroos after their decider against Borussia Dortmund.
Real's decisions, however, are expected to come before their players head to the 2024 UEFA European Championship, which is likely to be just a few days after their final.
Modric joined Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, while Kroos signed for Real from Bayern Munich after the FIFA World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
