Sadio Mane has once again been linked with a sensational move to Real Madrid, and the Senegal star would join an exclusive club if he does join the LaLiga giants. Here are nine African stars who played for Los Blancos!

Earlier in the week, speculation linking Mane with a move to Real resurfaced after former player Christian Karembeu revealed that he would love to see the Liverpool forward turn out for the Spanish outfit.
Mane would join an exclusive list of African players to represent the club if he did make the move, the most notable of which is arguably former Mali international Mahamadou Diarra. The defensive midfielder made more than 100 appearances for the club and won two LaLiga crowns during his time in Spain.

Diarra is joined on the list by the likes of Michael Essien and Emmanuel Adebayor, both of whom enjoyed a loan spell at the club, as well as Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o, who started his career at the club before making his name at rivals FC Barcelona.
Achraf Hakimi is currently the only African star on Real's books, although the Morocco fullback has spent the past two seasons on loan in the Bundesliga with title hopefuls Borussia Dortmund, with whom he has garnered much acclaim.
