Both Los Blancos and the Selecao are not in good moments right now. Real have just been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League at the quarter-final stage by Arsenal, casting doubt over Carlo Ancelotti’s future, while Brazil recently dismissed Dorival Júnior after a historic FIFA World Cup qualifier loss to Argentina.
Should Ancelotti fail to deliver LaLiga or the Copa del Rey, it has been widely speculated that the club will look for a new manager, while the Brazilian Football Confederation are actively searching for a successor to Dorival. According to UOL, one manager said to be in contention for both roles is German tactician Klopp.
The Stuttgart native left Anfield at the end of last season and shortly afterwards took up a role as Global Sports Director at the Red Bull football group, overseeing the likes of Leipzig, Salzburg and Paris FC. However, the same report has stated that he is becoming increasingly worn out by the position and that his dissatisfaction has been a recurring theme.
It is understood that the 57-year-old is willing to return to football management, but only if he is to coach either the record Champions League winners or the record FIFA World Cup winners.

Klopp is, however, not the only candidate in the running for the aforementioned roles. Brazil have also been heavily linked with Ancelotti and Al Hilal boss Jorge Jesus, while Real are also believed to be monitoring Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen.
