A study by Mexican club CF Pachuca has reportedly measured players' maximum speeds over the past year.
Real Madrid record signing Gareth Bale leads the ranking with 36.9km/h, ahead of Orlando Berrio of Flamengo (36km/h) and Tigres' Jurgen Damm (35.23km/h).
Manchester United right back Antonio Valencia is the next familiar name on the list, appearing in fourth position with 35.1km/h, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the only African on the list, completes the top five with 34.6km/h.
Everton winger Aaron Lennon (33.8km/h) appears in sixth spot, beating Ronaldo's maximum speed of 33.6km/h.
