Images circulated online of a visitor, during a stadium tour, sitting in Ronaldo's spot in the dressing room cupping his ears like Messi did after scoring against the Netherlands at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The man's actions, particularly as he was seated in front of Ronaldo's locker, were considered provocative by the club, who issued a statement in response to the online conversations following the incident.
"We would like to point out that the club has always been welcoming to its visitors, fans and lovers, and throughout its long history its doors have been open to all," it read, according to Kooora.
"However, what happened yesterday in the team's dressing room at the Al-Oula Park Stadium, in terms of individual irresponsible behaviour, is unacceptable by some people who did not appreciate the value of the party they represent, nor the place and entity behind it, and did not respect its fans.
"We clarify that we, in the club's company, have directed the relevant internal departments to immediately address the issue, to preserve the club's literary, moral and material rights.
"With full assurance that the doors and all facilities of the (club) are open to every lover as long as they are committed to respecting and appreciating the great entity of Al Nassr."
